What We Provide

We offer support to people with common and emotional mental health difficulties. Services range from self-help therapies, to psychoeducational courses and one-to-one support and are provided under an AQP model of Provision.

The support you will receive is generally short term and our service is based on a National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE)” Stepped-Care model”. This means that we offer our services in a tiered approach where you try the most commonly helpful support first and “step up to further options if needed”.

We will concentrate on steps that you can take yourself to help you tackle your difficulties.

Emotional Wellbeing Service (EWS) does not provide treatment for:

  • severe and complex depression/anxiety
  • eating disorders
  • psychotic disorders
  • personality disorders
  • bipolar (formerly manic depression)
  • drug or alcohol problems which require specialist services
  • or for clients who are suicidal or engage in significant deliberate self-harm.
  • If you experience one of these problems, please speak to your GP who can make a referral to the most appropriate service.

You must also speak to your GP if you have any queries regarding medication.
